TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION

At The Hair Base we are very proud to train the next generation of hairdressing talent. We choose an in salon approach to learning which ensures our young team get the very best training in both practical and theory.

This means we are regularly looking for models!

What do we mean by models?

Quite simply, we are looking for people to have their hair done completely free of charge during a training session or even for exams.

This will provide the learners with real life scenarios and much better than dealing with only mannequins.

What if it goes wrong?

We have very experienced in salon educators who will guide the learner through the practical session.

We never have more that 2 apprentices to 1 educator to ensure each session is fully supervised for maximum learning and efficiency

How do you become a model?

Complete the enquiry form and we will assess your suitability, based on what our apprentice’s current learning needs are. You must be 16 or over for colour and you will also be required to have a skin test in line with current health and safety regulations.

Can I be a model more than once?

Yes we would like to have a bank of models to call on and if you are happy for our students to try different colour techniques and styles then the student is learning.
The only thing we will have to limit visits for is if it’s the same service every time, like a trim and roots because all our students have to cover a verity of hair textures and styles to become a confident stylist.

Can I stay with the same student if I like the way they do my hair?

If you would like to come into the salon and have a service carried out on day the salon is open and once the student is confidant in the service thats fine and we offer a graduate price list for this reason as its a great way for the student to build up their client list so it is very much encouraged in The Hair Base.
