FAQ
Do extensions damage my hair?
No they do not damage your hair if they are fitted correctly and maintained correctly.
Does extensions suit everyone’s hair?
No they don’t and they are not suitable for everyone, some people with medical condition cannot have hair extensions, we will go through a very detailed consultation with you before any service to make sure extensions are the right solution for you.
Do you have much experience with extensions?
Our team at The Hair Base has over 18 years experience in extensions and has been a finalist for the Great Lenghts awards in 2014/15
Do you offer different types of extensions?
Yes we offer pre bonded, tapes, nano rings, and soon to becoming wefts.
Does this include the cost of my hair?
No this price will not include the cost of hair this is for maintenance.
How many blow dries do I get?
You will be able to have weekly blowdries with a team member just simply call up on the day you want to get booked In, doing this appointment we will also check the bonds and make sure your scan;[, hair and extensions are all in good health.
Will I lose extensions?
Yes this is completely natural, we loose over 100 to 150 hairs a day so as your hair sheds you may loose extensions. If there is any other reason for loosing extensions we will be able soon fond out why in our weekly blow dry and maintenance appointments.
How much home care will I get?
You will receive 4 home care packages per year which will be every 12 weeks. This pack is made up of shampoo and conditioner designed for your hair extension type.
Can I have treatments on my hair with extensions?
Yes its advised to have treatments on your hair while you have extensions to keep your hair healthy and our team are trained to know what products to use and how to apply them as you have to use different products and applications while wearing extensions.
Can I have my hair coloured?
We do not advise you have a colour on your hair while wearing extensions. We will talk you through all the maintenance in our consultation.
